Government by Catharsis

There's something about a catharsis that is very important.

Glenn Close
It now appears that both the Senate and the Congress have fallen to the Democrats. In spite of some simpering rhetoric, there is no one who believes that the Cheney government has changed an iota in its determination to pursue the War in Iraq.

The question becomes, can our government survive the inevitable clash that will come between the Cheney gang and the new Congress? (Do not forget that the Supremes will be in the Cheney camp.)

It could get bloody but there must be a catharsis.

If we are going to die, literally, then far better to die in this battle for our democracy than in the sands of Iraq or the snows of North Korea.
