Killing Children

The abuses include deliberately provoking violent reactions from crowds to give soldiers a pretext to shoot, locking families in one room of their house overnight and using the rest of the house as a base, and shooting children. (emphasis added)

When the world comes to accept this as the status quo; and is more interested in a bowling score, then there is little hope left.
