Usually my favorite tiger gets the zinger. But, in this case, Calvin opens up the classical can of Oligochaetae. General Long you have competition.

Did you ever see this? Anonymously concocted as an alternate Calvin & Hobbes ending. Opinion seems divided between it being a cruel killjoy travesty, or an extremely poignant reinterpretation. I go with the latter.
I agree about the poignancy but its the pill part that struck a chord. Will need to post on the Gracie Slick "White Rabbit" culture of America.
